Rumours currently ripping around the motorsport industry are placing Motorsport Vision boss Jonathan Palmer in the middle of a bid for Silverstone.

The former F1 driver currently owns Snetterton, Oulton Park, Cadwell Park and Brands Hatch, as well as the Bedford Autodrome test area, and could add the Northamptonshire track to his portfolio.

Silverstone has been looking for a buyer for some time and a proposed sale to the Jaguar Land-Rover group has apparently stalled over the amount of useage Porsche has in its current contract with the track.

According to MSV staff, Palmer is currently making no comment on the rumours…
