Ducati has confirmed its MotoGP World Championship leader Pecco Bagnaia won't miss the upcoming Italian MotoGP at Mugello after fracturing his ankle.

The defending champions underwent medical checks in the wake of his coming together with Maverick Vinales during the French MotoGP at Le Mans, with doctors confirming a 'small partial talus bone fracture'.

"As Pecco was still feeling some pain in his right ankle, after last Sunday’s crash in France, he underwent further checks in Misano, which found a small partial talus bone fracture."

Described as a 'minor injury', Ducati confirmed Bagnaia will still be present and correct for his home Italian MotoGP at Mugello, where he will bid to extend a lead over Marco Bezzecchi that was reduced to just a single point following the VR46 Ducati rider's win in France.
