After previous claims that Pedro Acosta could be on his way to Ducati next season, his manager is adamant that he will remain with KTM.

In recent weeks there has been a lot of talk regarding Pedro Acosta's contract with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team.

The Spaniard is signed to the Austrian manufacturer until the end of the 2026 season, but his manager, Albert Valera, started a wildfire of rumours after stating that Acosta had an 'option' to join VR46 next season.

Valera also went on to state that Acosta and his management had 'begun to consider' the offer. However, a week after making these claims he has gone back on his previous statement.

In a recent interview with Speedweek.com, Valera was adamant that Acosta will remain with the Red Bull KTM factory Racing Team for the 2026 season.

"Pedro Acosta has a contract with KTM until 2026," Valera stated.

"It does not contain any performance clauses. This is not common practice, because measuring the performance of both sides is very complicated, and partly even counterintuitive because both sides intend to achieve the best possible result.

"I'll be very clear: To date, we haven't spoken to anyone about Pedro's future, let alone negotiated it. There's absolutely no reason to panic.

"We've seen two GP races, and it's true that both were disappointing. But it would simply be wrong to project this onto the rest of the season. The first races always have a special character. It will be very interesting when MotoGP comes to Europe.

"Pedro needs a winning bike to achieve his goals, and he can't wait forever for that performance to be available to him.

"Pedro is focused on his work, just like KTM. Pedro wants nothing more than to reach the top of MotoGP with KTM. We're working on that now, with KTM, and there's no doubt that KTM is also doing everything it can to fulfill its promise. Everything else would be an issue from 2027 onward."
