Inde GasGas Aspar’s Jake Dixon continued his 2023 Moto2 preparation at Portugal’s Algarve International Circuit on Friday.
Three days of official testing began with Dixon 13th in the combined times thanks to a 1’43.614 best lap set during the second of three 70-minute sessions. The Brit opened the action by placing fourth in the morning and sixth in the afternoon’s final outing as he continued to adjust his Kalex, while the midday running saw the majority of hot laps set down.
“We keep working,” Dixon said at the end of day one. “We completed more than 40 laps in Portimao today.
“We have two more days to fine-tune the set-up of the bike and fight for a good result. In Moto2 everything is very close and a few tenths can mean a great change of positions.”
