Initial dates for the 2022 MotoGP season have been released by Dorna, with three tests and the opening round provisionally highlighted.
The MotoGP class will return to the Sepang International Circuit as February begins, initially for a shakedown test for factory test riders and rookies only, before the entire field joins three days later.
The second test will take place at the new Mandalika International Street Circuit in Indonesia, the following weekend.
Moto2 and Moto3 will return to their usual schedule of one test at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto as February draws to a close.
The 2022 FIM MotoGP World Championship is expected to commence on Friday 4th March with the QatarGP racing under the Doha lights on March 6th at Losail International Circuit.
2022 Provisional dates:
Shakedown Test: 31st January – 2nd February
Sepang Test: 5th – 6th February
Mandalika Test: 11th – 13th February
Jerez Test: 22nd – 24th February
