Last season’s MotoGP runner-up Franky Morbidelli says he is unlikely to try the 2021 Yamaha chassis this year.
The Petronas SRT man is still last in line for upgrades despite being the best M1 pilot of 2020 but is pragmatic about his treatment.
“As of now I don’t believe I will try the new frame this season,” he said, speaking in Qatar.
“Not having to worry about development of the bike can be an advantage but in the end, you have to progess in MotoGP and if you try lots of updates, you’ll find something interesting.”
Mentor and team-mate Valentino Rossi has used both chassis and still can’t find the required amount of rear grip, saying he can’t find much difference between the two.
