Former Moto2 king Tito Rabat will return to MotoGP at Jerez to stand-in for the injured Jorge Martin at Pramac Ducati.
Martin has gone under the knife in Barcelona to fix fractures to the metacarpal of his right thumb, the right malleolus and left tibial plateau after a horror crash at Portimao.
“Back to racing in MotoGP is a great opportunity, especially in my home race and with a factory bike,” said Rabat.
“First of all, I want to thank Paolo Campinoti, the whole team at Pramac Racing and Ducati for giving me this opportunity. Thanks also to the Barni Racing Team for supporting me in this decision.”
