Britain’s Sam Lowes will make his MotoGP debut at Misano tomorrow when he will test the Aprilia he will campaign in next year’s world championship.

Lowes’ promotion to the blue riband class was part of a deal that sees him ride for the Gresini team in Moto2 this year and the Isle of Man-based rider then gets two years on the bike that has been slowly progressing up the results sheets in 2016.

“I can’t wait. I’ve looked at the weather. It’ll be 28 degrees in Misano. Wednesday and Thursday I’ll be riding,” said Lowes.
