Day One of the Portimao Moto3 Test left Scott Ogden with a smile on his face as he ended the day in fourth place.
During the opening day of the Moto3 Portimao Test Scott Ogden set his personal best lap time at the Portuguese circuit.
The British rider has switched to KTM machinery for the 2025 season as he joined the CIP Green Power squad. Ogden had one previous day of testing with the French team at Jerez, but this was his first outing with the team in 2025.
After ending the day in fourth place Ogden posted a short video on his social media to update his fans on his progress.
"Overall, it was really good, I finished in P4 at the end with a 1:45.8, which is over a second faster than my best lap. I am really happy, I worked alone and did the lap in a time attack on my own," Ogden said.
"Overall, it has been a positive day and I have got to keep working, keep my feet on the ground and see what we can do. I want to say thank you for all the support, there was one guy in the crowd today with a flag so that really boosted me on and I really appreciated it.
"We will see if we can build on this tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be wet so I don't know if I will ride or not because I get the day back in Brno as a test instead of doing tomorrow. We will keep an eye and see if we can get any dry track time, and if not we head to Jerez next week. Got to keep the momentum rolling after a top first day."
The second day of the Portimao Test has been hit with adverse weather conditions. Fewer Moto3 riders have decided to take to the track so far. Ogden has yet to leave the pits and it is likely that he will sit the day out.
