Both Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez pointed out Dani Pedrosa’s pace in the race simulation that all of the top men undertook on the final day of MotoGP testing at Seoang.
Albeit at slightly different times of the day - Marquez was out half an hour later – the MotoGP bridesmaid looks to be in good shape over a race distance.
The Repsol Honda man ran ten laps in the 2’00 bracket out of the box and then only dropped off by half a second as the track temperature increased and rear grip went down – something that has The Doctor a little concerned…
“It was positive. We had a great lap but could have been better, there with a mistake in one area but anyway happy with it and with the race simulation. There are still things to improve on the bike but for the first time out in a long run it was quite good,” said Pedrosa.
Rossi said that he slowed to change some mapping on his last couple of laps but identified Pedrosa as a danger man: “I think Pedrosa this year will be more strong than in the last season. The best simulation was Pedrosa. I don’t see Marquez but they say he was a little slower.
“Jorge and Dani make their simulation in a similar moment and the best was Dani. Looks like the advantage they have in one lap they also have in the first part of the race.”
