Returning Yamaha MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi has put his Ducati woes firmly behind him and is lapping just less than a second off qualifying pace at Sepang.

The Doctor has put in just less than 50 laps and is sitting in fourth place on the timesheet with a 2'01.584, two-tenths slower than quickest man and team-mate Jorge Lorenzo. The Spaniard's pole lap from last year was a 2'00.334.
