Paul Bird's British Superbike rider Shane Byrne will replace James Ellison in the chicken magnate's MotoGP CRT team for the upcoming Le Mans MotoGP round.
Ellison has struggled with the bike due to serious lack of testing time and big issues with the front-end chatter that curtailed his Estoril race yesterday.
"This is temporary, for one ride. I want Shakey to try the bike and give me a second opinion on what, if anything, is not right. We will see what happens after that," said Bird, speaking to bikesportnews.com at Oulton Park.
