Silvano Galbusera confirmed as Rossi's new crew chief

Former Marco Melandri crew chief Silvano Galbusera has been revealed as the man who will replace Jerry Burgess in Valentino Rossi's side of the factory Yamaha garage in 2014.

The Italian has also worked with the likes of John Kocinski, Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga, Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies - and James Whitham - in a career which began in 1979. For the last two years he has been with Melandri in the BMW World Superbike squad. Galbusera briefly worked with Rossi at Brno when he rode the Sterilgarda WSBK Yamaha at Brno after breaking his leg at Mugello.

“I’d like to thank Yamaha and Valentino for this great opportunity to work close to such a multi titled, high level champion. I’m happy to be back in the Yamaha family and to have an opportunity in such a successful team that is always at the top," he said.
