Repsol Honda's Casey Stoner has confirmed he will return to action for next weekend's Motegi MotoGP round in Japan.
The reigning world champion, who badly mangled his ankle in a massive crash at Indianapolis, has been in recovery after an operation at home in Australia and now feels fit enough to return.
“The good news is that I feel I can race in Motegi and will be re-joining my team next week and I can't wait to get back on track," said Stoner. “Thanks for all the kind messages, I look forward to return in Motegi in front of all the Honda home fans.”
