Day two of MotoGP testing at Valencia was all but washed out as two bouts of heavy rain interspersed with light rain meant the track remained wet all day.
Only ten riders left the comfort of their pit garages with Pramac Ducati’s Danilo Petrucci setting the fastest time of the day - a 1’42.431 in case you’re interested - with Nicky Hayden second and Scott Redding third.
Redding put in a whopping 42 laps in the miserable conditions in his factory Estrella Galicia MarcVDS Honda while Alvaro Bautista went seven better on the new, pneumatic-valved Aprilia.
Loris Baz had two tumbles in the afternoon but was unhurt while Cal Crutchlow ran off track at turn four on his out-lap (see below) and crashed. Scott Redding had a small off right at the end of the day.
