VR46 Team Owner and nine-time World Champion, Valentino Rossi, has high expectations for his team in 2025.
The VR46 Racing Team will take over as the official Ducati satellite team in 2025 after Pramac Racing swapped to Yamaha.
In 2024 the Pramac Racing Team won the MotoGP World Championship with Jorge Martin. However, the VR46 Racing Team, who had 2023 specification Ducati's, suffered throughout the year.
For the 2025 campaign, the Italian team will have a factory 2025 specification Ducati. Fabio di Giannantonio will be on the same machine as the Ducati Lenovo Team riders, Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia.
But on the other side of the garage, Franco Morbidelli will stay onboard a Ducati GP24, the same machine he was on at the Pramac Racing Team in 2024.
“The expectations for the team in the 2025 season are very high because we are the second team of Ducati and the Ducati in recent seasons are very competitive and very strong,” said VR46 team owner and nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi.
“So we hope that we can fight for some podiums, win some races if it's possible and try to arrive in the top positions in the championship, I want to say the top five.
“We are very happy to have two Italian riders, one also from the Academy. And I think we can be very competitive."

"We can achieve more podiums, victories and better results."
Franco Morbidelli has been in the MotoGP paddock since 2014, but in this time he has never ridden for the VR46 Racing Team despite being part of the VR46 Academy.
Rossi went on to speak about how 'special' it is to finally have the 30-year-old ride for his team.
“To have Franco finally in the team is very special for us because Franco is an Academy rider and we’ve always stayed together for all of his career and tried to help him,” confirmed Rossi.
“So to have him in the team is like closing a circle and we hope we can be strong.”
On the other side of the garage Rossi wants to see di Giannantonio reach his full 'potential' on the factory specification Ducati.
“The expectations for Diggia are very high because he’s demonstrated he’s very fast with the Ducati,” Rossi said. “He knows the bike and also the team, because he was already with us in 2024 where he demonstrated a lot of potential, a lot of speed.
“On a lot of occasions, he was a little bit unlucky so we hope this year we can achieve more podiums, victories and better results.”
