Movistar Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo is clear that he must win all three of the remaining 2015 MotoGP races if he is to beat team-mate Valentino Rossi for this year’s title but says he is focusing on keeping the same speed and momentum he has held until now.
Lorenzo has been, in the dry, the fastest rider in the world this year, only being let down in mixed conditions so he believes that if he keeps working normally in the next three encounters, starting at Phillip Island, he still has a chance of lifting the title.
“This year happen a lot of things but now it comes to final three races in the championship. We must win a lot of races if we are to recover the points if we want to have the chance in Valencia to be world champion. This is the goal that we are having at this moment but we are not just focused on the result, we also want to keep working in the way we have been,” said Lorenzo, speaking at Phillip Island.
“If we keep like that, we are going to be fast and consistent so this is the goal we are having from tomorrow. We are now waiting for three good races on three good tracks with nice weather. In good weather, Phillip Island is the best place to go full throttle, slide in the corner and have fun.”
