Yamaha's factory team upped their game on day two of testing for the Suzuka Eight-Hours to go under Alex Lowes' lap record from last year.

Kats Nakasuga put in a 2'06.273 to top the timesheets while Michael van der Mark's time of 2'06.464 was quicker than the best of the rest.

The works Kawasaki, headed by Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam, took second place with a 2'06.838 with Leon Camier's Red Bull Honda team in third with a 2'07.500.

Yoshimura Suzuki, which features rising BSB star Bradley Ray and Sylvain Guintoli, took fourth on a 2'07.838 with PJ Jacobsen's MuSASHI Honda mob next along in fifth on a 2'08.280.

Tommy Bridewell's S-Pulse Dream Suzuki were were seventh behind the MotoUP team with YART in eighth, Team Kagayama ninth and Honda Dream Asia in tenth.
