Rumour currently pinging around the World Endurance paddock places multiple AMA Champion Josh Hayes in the YART team for a one-off ride to replace Josh Waters, who is on BSB duty at Assen.
Milwaukee Yamaha's Waters is under contract to race at the Dutch circuit so is unable to make the iconic race so the team's manager Mandy Kainz has, apparently, asked Hayes to step in for a one-off ride.
Hayes, currently third in the AMA standings, will have to leave the New Jersey round, race at Le Mans and then get straight back for the final round at Laguna's World Superbike weekend. Hayes has said he will make a decision on Sunday.
