AMA SUPERBIKES | FACING MORE RULE CHAOS

News reaches us from the States that more confusion could well be added to the already murky 2009 rules and regulations for AMA Superbikes.

New owners Daytona Motorsport Group (DMG) have been talking about massive alerations to regulations, ditching the Superbike class as is and running a Liter (sic) Bike class for superstock bikes.

In response to this, the Motorcycle Industry Council in America started throwing its not unsubstanstial weight around and proposing its own Superbike series.

Now, the rumour mill is running wild and apparently there are now plans for DMG to introduce a Factory Superbike class - a series which will run WSB technical rules and open rules on tyres.

And we thought we has chaos in British Superbikes.

We are trying to reach Neil Hodgson to get his view.
