Three-times AMA Champion Ben Spies has apparently given up hope of a MotoGP ride next season as strong rumour around the the Indianapolis MotoGP paddock says he has signed for Yamaha in the US.

It would seem the massive split between the US importers is confirmed with Yamaha and Kawasaki moving towards the DMG/AMA camp while Suzuki have definitely quit AMA, and there is a lot of tumbleweed blowing around at Honda.
