Scots rider Kevin Coghlan will shift into the World Supersport Championship in 2013 with the newly-formed DMC Lorenzini Kawasaki squad which will benefit from factory support.

Coghlan will partner Vladimir Ivanov, the current Russian Superbike Champion, and Alexy Ivanov, who will be in the Superstock 600 class.

The all new line up for 2013 will consist of a combination of DMC Racing personnel and Lorenzini team members. The team, provisionally named Team Kawasaki DMC Lorenzini, will be run by DMC Team Principal Sergei Glagolev in collaboration with Lorenzini boss Vanni Lorenzini,

Given the impressive pedigree of this multi-national setup -  Lorenzini were the power behind 2012 Supersport World Champion Kenan Sofuoglu’s successful campaign - it's no shock the team are to receive factory support from Kawasaki.

“We will now be doing World Supersport on Kawasakis. I’m in Spain now, we tested the bikes in an early shakedown test last week at Cartagena)and met the new part of team. Everything looks great so far and seems like a good move," enthused Coghlan this morning.
