Britain's Chaz Davies reckons he is happy with the progress he is making with the Millennium Technologies Aprilia after another solid performance in Daytona Sportbike at Fontana.
The Welshman finished eighth and seventh in last weekend's AMA Pro double header but reckons there is more to come from the Aprilia RSV bike and from himself.
“It was a good weekend and we definitely made progress with the bike. Rocky and Jimmy are brilliant to work with and I can’t thank them enough. We still have a lot of stuff to test, but if we can make a few more small steps forward then we can be really competitive at Atlanta," he said.
After qualifying in 12th, Davies finished in the eighth position in race one and turned a lap time of 1'28.585, approximately seven tenths off the fastest lap of the race set by Martin Cardenas. Race two saw Davies also get a good start and rode hard for the first few laps but was unable to hook up with the lead group. Davies led the second group for the entire race to finish in seventh position.
