Strong rumours circulating AMA Pro-Racing, erm, circles over here reckon that British rider Chaz Davies may well have signed for the KWS Aprilia team to run in American Superbikes.

Welshman Davies, who won last year's Daytona 200, was believed to have snaffled Jamie Hacking's seat alongside Roger Hayden in the Attack Kawasaki squad.

But it now looks like KWS Aprilia, who have already signed up to run the new RSV4 in the Daytona Sportbike class with Ben Thompson on board, now look set to step up into the big league.

It was thought that Aprilia USA were to use the Daytona class as a testbed for a full assault on the main championship in 2010, but with a  small entry list for the Daytona 200, they may have brought that forward.
