Honda Legends stand-in rider Ryuichi Kiyonari had something of a lacklustre performance during qualifying at the Doha Eight-Hour as his wife was in the process of giving birth as he was out on track.

Daughter Senna Kiyonari arrived safely while her dad was still going round in circles but the team managed a top-ten result with Jason O'Halloran fastest. "I am very happy and relieved that my new baby girl was delivered without any issue. I can’t wait to get back and see her," said Kiyo.
