Ducati have taken the wraps off next year's World Superbike contender, which will probably be ridden by Carlos Checa.

Dubbed the 1199RS13 Panigale, the spectacular Ducati Corse prepared machine previews the full race version of the company’s top-of-the range sportsbike model, now ready and available for teams to prepare for competition in the 2013 World Superbike series.

Although Checa hasn't officially signed for the factory-backd Althea team, it is known he is in advanced negotiations but was also said to be unhappy with the bike when he rode it at World Ducati Week in the summer.
