"James has always finished at the sharp end of the results table regardless of the competition. He is a proven winner. His riding style of high corner speed and prolific late braking make him an ideal candidate for Moto2.

"The stakes have never been higher as we look forward to 2013/14. Success in this championship usually results in a career in Moto GP. Both myself and James?s main sponsors, Minards Pavlou Solicitors, regard this as the opportunity that James deserves," he added.

Folkard will be racing the FTR Moto2 machine that Alex De Angelis rode in last season's World Champion. The experienced FOGI Racing team is owned by Angus Borland who together with Business development manager, Andrew Murray, is based in Nova Scotia Canada.

"These guys are focused on assisting talented riders like James make their way up to the top of world racing. James will be working with a professional and determined team. James has a fantastic opportunity here. An opportunity he is determined to exploit to the full," finished Harrison.
