Former 500cc World Champion Wayne Garnder will make a return to Mallory Park to ride an RS500 at the Festival of 1000 Bikes in July.
The forthright Australian will join the Past Masters track parade on July 14 and will be alongside Jim Redman, Phil Read, Mick Grant, John McGuinness and Michael Rutter.
"I'm really looking forward to being part of this year's Festival of 1000 Bikes. It's been a long time since I was on a motorcycle at Mallory Park and I'm sure it's going to be a nostalgic weekend for me," said Gardner.
"I've heard a lot of great things about the event over the years from other riders, and it'll be fun to catch up with some of my old comrades, as well as get back in touch with the British fans.I'll be riding a Honda RS500, which is the same bike I used to race in the early 80s in the British Championship, and I can't wait to get back into the seat.
"Britain was my launching pad to Grand Prix, and so it'll be nice to come back and thank all the fans for supporting me in the early days and enjoy the weekend with them."
