Former World Superbike Champion Neil Hodgson was finally allowed to leave hospital yesterday after spending a week receving treatment for the injuries he sustained in a motocross crash.
The Corona Honda rider suffered a collapsed lung, broken ribs and a separated shoulder in the accident and he has been recovering in a Californian hospital.
As you can imagine I am doing everything in my power to get healthy as quickly as possible, so hopefully I'll be back racing sooner rather than later,” said Hodgson.
It isn't clear yet whether Hodgson will be fit in time for the next AMA Superbike race at Road Atlanta. He has a massive task ahead of him as Mat Mladin now leads the series with 94 points compared to Hodgson's 20 after a double win at Fontana this weekend.
