Corona Extra Honda's Neil Hodgson will be forced to sit out next weekend's AMA American Superbike race at Road Atlanta because he is still not fully recovered from his motocross crash.
The former World Superbike Champion was hospitalised for week with a collapsed lung and broken ribs after the crash and missed the last round at Fontanta.
"I am disappointed that I won't be riding this weekend but I want to be 100 percent fit so I made the decision to sit out the Atlanta event. I am looking forward to getting back on the Corona Superbike at Barber," said Hodgson.
Jake Holden will once again deputise for Hodgson on the Fireblade after his results at Fontanta. Holden said: "I was really starting to feel comfortable on the bike last weekend so think I can do well at Road Atlanta. I'm looking forward to the race."
