World Supersport podium sitter and mutiple British Supermoto Champion Christian Iddon will take on MotoGP Champion Marc Marquez and other riders from the premier class at this weekend's Superprestigio Dirt Track event in Barcelona.
Alvaro Bautista, Bradley Smith, Aleix Espargaro, Hector Barbera and American dirt track star Brad Baker are among the other riders taking part, which is being held in the Palau Sant Jordi indoor sporting arena which is situated on Barcelona’s Montjuic.
Following practice and qualifying sessions on Saturday morning, the riders will be challenged with further qualifying heats and numerous races in the afternoon including four Finals for the Superprestigio machines, culminating with the Superprestigio + Open Super Final at quarter to nine in the evening.
Across the afternoon and night, crowds will witness whether MotoGP™ World Championship faces can truly take on AMA’s Baker who – at the same age as Marc Marquez – clinched the 2013 AMA Pro Grand National crown.
Other riders include Tito Rabat, Johann Zarco, Jonas Folger, Julian Simon, Marcel Schrotter, Ricky Cardus, Alex Rins, Jordi Torres and Lorenzo Baldassarri.
