Former British Superbike star Dan Linfoot has finally cured the chatter that has plagued his Wilmax Spamish Moto2 bike and he goes into the weekend's Albacete CEV meeting full of confidence.
The Yorkshire toast rack has taken part in a couple of test sessions in Spain in order to rid the bike of the problem before he was forced to visit a dentist. After some head scratching it was traced to a fork that had been damaged in a crash.
"We puzzled over it for a while as I had never experienced chatter like it. We tried loads of things but eventually we took it all to bits and found one of the legs was damaged, we replaced and bosh, chatter gone," said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
"We've managed to put in some respectable time now and I'm going into this weekend's race at Albacete with a lot of confidence. I think we can run in the top six with no problem. Catching Morales and Torres might be a big ask but we should have similar pace to the rest."
