British Superbike stars Danny Buchan and Chris Walker plus WSBK front runner Tom Sykes will be among the guests at a massive Kawasaki event in April, which is set to take over the whole of Silverstone.
Billed as a “hands on” day of activity between 09.00 and 17.00 on Aoril 21, the range of things to do and see stretches from on-track riding to woodland quad biking, meet the stars sessions and even Ninja face painting for younger Kawasaki fans. As Aimee Osmond of Kawasaki Motors UK explains, "The day has been created in direct response to feedback from interested fans.
“We are always delighted when people tell us they bought a Kawasaki because of our engineering heritage. They all marvel at the diverse range of products we make from ships to spacecraft and even a “floating” football pitch for a Japanese sports stadium.
"World of Kawasaki at Silverstone is a way to experience many of the things Kawasaki is involved in from a UK perspective including the chance for visitors to ride their own Kawasaki on the famous Stowe circuit, to choose a local roads test ride on machines from a vast array of 2013 Kawasaki motorcycles or walk inside a working BSB pit area and also meet the UK’s top World Superbike star, Tom Sykes”
With a Kawasaki robot display at the event and on-site catering plus a clothing and accessory store, the tactile element has been boosted with the chance to ride one of the company's famous ATV quad bikes or MULE utility vehicle on a dedicated 4x4 woodland loop or go off-road on two-wheels with the new Mick Extance Kawasaki trail riding and enduro experience.
“We hope the day will also appeal to those new to two wheels as well as families and, of course, confirmed Kawasaki fans”, continued Osmond.
“For the youngest there is the KiddiMoto experience and, for those keen to experience powered two wheels for the first time we have the Motorex First ride area. In fact, even if you just want to come and see us at Silverstone for a day out there are some great attractions like the White Helmets display team who will be performing during the day plus the Muc Off “Time Trial” wheel change competition. It’s going to be an action and fun packed day”.
With such a large crowd expected, places on each of the experiences are on a first come, first served basis and limited to 1 booking am and 1 booking pm per person, per experience.
