Legendary basketball player Michael Jordan looks set to move his AMA Superbike team on to the world stage after losing title sponsor National Guard.

The multi-squillionaire ran both Danny Eslick and Roger Lee Hayden at the Laguna World Superbike round even though the technical regulations are different, changing only the fuel to the control supplier.

The pair were at the business end during free practice at their home track but lost out in races with a brace of crashes as their slower and less electronically-advanced Suzukis failed to keep up.

"Michael Jordan Motorsports (MJM) announced today that it will suspend operations of its AMA Pro Superbike team at the end of the month. During this time, MJM will focus on transitioning to competing in an international series in 2014," said a spokesyank.
