Almost-forgotten British Superbike star Michael Laverty is lining up a ride with Chaz Davies' former AMA Supersport team Celtic Racing, possibly in the AMA Daytona Sportbike series.
Laverty is something of an unknown quantity here in the States, but I am assured by those in the know in Britain that he could be a force to be reckoned with on either a Supersport machine or Superbike.
The Irishman mysteriously split with his Relentless Suzuki BSB team at the end of last season and has not really been heard from in the UK since. His brother Eugene and John are racing in World Supersport and British Superbike respectively in 2009.
