World Superbike legend Scott Russell is making plans for a Daytona comeback at the age of 50.
The Georgia rider, who is known as Mr Daytona having won the race fives times in his career, spoke at this year’s race, saying that the oldest previous winner was a mere 36, so he was planning thinking of having a crack at it in 2015.
Speaking to David Swarts at Roadracingworld.com, Russell said he has already had conversations with AMA Pro Racing chiefs but added that the deal had to be right.
If Kevin Schwantz can race Suzuka, albeit for one stint, then there’s no reason this can’t happen.
