Silverstone owners, the BRDC, have appointed a new management team at the Northamptonshire track after the departure of former boss Richard Phillips and two other directors.
Patrick Allen is the new big cheese and he has been tasked with pulling Silverstone back into the black as well as making it the place to go for events, music, exhibitions and racing.
“Silverstone has great potential to become the ultimate entertainment venue and with the support of the team I believe we can make it the place to go,” said Allen.
“I want our customers to know that they can visit the circuit any weekend of the year and be guaranteed an amazing value for money experience whether that is to watch motor racing, visit a music concert, enjoy a food festival or attend an exhibition.”
Silverstone will hold only one major motorcycle race in 2015, the penultimate MCE British Superbike round.
