Scotland’s Rory Skinner has won backing from Racing Steps Foundation which means he can add the national RFME Moto3 Spanish Cup and selected rounds of the Moto3 Junior World Championship to his Red Bull Rookies duties.
Skinner, who won last year’s BSN/Bennett’s Search for a Star, ran away with the 2014 Aprilia Superteen series and was the only British rider to be selected for this year’s Rookies Cup, which runs as a support to MotoGP.
"This is a dream come true. My parents have invested so much in me to get me to the point where I can make this step up to international competition with the backing of the RSF. I can't thank either of them enough,” said Skinner.
"Racing in Spain against some of the world's top riders at this level will be tough. But I'm up for the challenge and hope to repay the faith the foundation is showing in me with a string of competitive rides."
