Moto Rapido Ducati BSB regular Scott Smart bounced back from technical problems in qualifying to podium twice in the Qatar International Road Racing Championships yesterday and claim the series lead by two points from former Moto2 man Mashel Al Naimi.

Aussie Alex Cudlin won both races with Al Naimi second and Smart in third while German racer Nina Prinz put on a great showing for a pair of fourths. Smart's track time was dramatically reduced by his gremlins but he hopes to be back at the top of the podium next time out.
