Aragon WorldSSP, Race One Results | Valentin Debise secured his first World Supersport victory

Valentin Debise became a World Supersport race winner for the first time in Race One at MotorLand Aragon.

In his 89th World Supersport race, Valentin Debise featured on the top step of the podium for the first time after defending his lead at MotorLand Aragon on the final lap of the race.

Can Oncu did not let Debise get his first win easily as the Turkish rider battled with the Frenchman until the final corner, but he had to settle for second place.

The World Supersport Championship leader, Stefano Manzi, completed the podium as he finished in third place for the Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing squad.

The Feel Racing WorldSSP Team rider, Philipp Oettl, missed out on his second podium of the season as he crossed the line in fourth place on his Ducati.

Rounding out the top five was the MV Agusta Reparto Corse rider, Filippo Farioli. The Italian was the top MV Agusta at the end of the opening Supersport race of the weekend.

The Orelac Racing Verdnatura riders missed out on the top five as Jaume Masia finished in sixth place, and his teammate, Xavi Cardelus, was in seventh.

Yamaha took eighth and ninth places with GMT94 Yamaha rider, Lucas Mahias, in eighth place and the bLU cRU Evan Bros Team rider, Alberto Surra, in ninth.

Completing the top ten was the Kawasaki WorldSSP Team rider, Jeremy Alcoba.
