Czech Repuiblic WorldSSP, Race One Results | Jaume Masia claimed his maiden Supersport victory

For the first time in his World Supersport career, Jaume Masia won a race for the Orelac Racing Verdnatura squad.

Jaume Masia was able to take his first victory in the World Supersport Championship as he won the opening race of the weekend at the Czech Republic World Supersport Round.

Can Oncu had to settle for second place at the Autodrom Most as he was beaten by Masia on the final lap of the race.

Lucas Mahias was back on the podium for the first time this season for the GMT94 Yamaha squad. The French rider was 7.997 seconds behind Masia at the end of the race after running into tyre issues.

Marcel Schroetter had his best result of the season since the season opener at Phillip Island. The German rider was able to cross the line in fourth place on the WRP Racing Ducati.

World Supersport rookie, Aldi Mahendra, claimed his best result of his rookie season as he finished in fifth place for the Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Team.

The top Honda rider in the opening Supersport race was Corentin Perolari as he finished in sixth place on the Honda Racing World Supersport machine.

Philipp Oettl was in the fight for a top five finish, but after a mistake in the latter laps he dropped back to seventh place.

Bo Bendsneyder came through the field from 23rd on the grid on the MV Agusta Reparto Corse machine and he crossed the line in eighth place.

The top Triumph rider at the end of the opening race of the weekend was Oliver Bayliss from the PTR Triumph Factory Racing Team.

Completing the top ten was the sole Kawasaki rider on the grid of Jeremy Alcoba from the Kawasaki World Supersport Team.
