The World Superbike riders are back out on track for a two-day post-season test at Circuito do Jerez.

The 2026 World Superbike preseason begins today as riders will begin their Winter Testing programme at Jerez. The test will run from 9:00 - 17:00 (GMT), and we will provide updates throughout the day.

16:49 - Nicolo Bulega has stopped in the second sector.

16:47 - Pata Yamaha rider, Xavi Vierge, has now moved up to second place on the timesheets and is 1.110 seconds behind Bulega.

16:42 - Xavi Vierge is back out on track on his Pata Yamaha.

16:38 - Nicolo Bulega is back out on track for what may be his final run of the day...

16:36 - Xavi Vierge has stopped in the final sector. The Spaniard remains third in the timesheets as it stands.

16:32 - Stefano Manzi has just jumped up to second place with his 87th lap of the day. The rookie is 1.322 seconds behind Bulega and 0.072 seconds ahead of Vierge.

16:30 - With half an hour remaining of Day One at the Jerez Test, Nicolo Bulega leads the way, from Xavi Vierge and Bahattin Sofuoglu.

16:20 - Bahattin Sofuoglu is into the top three as he moved into third place on the Yamaha R1.

16:19 - Nicolo Bulega's domination continues at the Jerez Test as he improves again and sets a 1:38.027! A lap time that would have put him eighth on the grid for the Spanish World Superbike Round!

16:17 - Nicolo Bulega extends his advantage at the top of the timesheets to a second! The Italian rider set a 1:38.254, and now has a 1.167-second advantage!

16:14 - British rider Ryan Vickers is still in tenth place but has set his best lap of the day and is down into the 1:39s.

16:13 - With his 50th lap of the day, Michael van der Mark has moved into fourth place on the timesheets for BMW.

16:09 - Bahattin Sofuoglu had moved himself into the top seven, as he had set a 1:39.669 with his 58th lap of the day.

16:03 - We have one hour remaining here at Jerez. Currently, there are six riders out on track from four different manufacturers.

15:52 - Ryan Vickers is back into the top ten on the timesheets as he has set a 1:40.210 and finds himself in tenth overall.

15:49 - Iker Lecuona improves once again as the Spaniard moves into fourth place on the timesheets and is 1.018 seconds behind Bulega.

15:45 - After few improvements in the last few moments, Iker Lecuona set his best lap and jumped up to fifth place on the timesheets.

15:30 - Now that Nicolo Bulega's latest run of fast laps is over, let's remind ourselves of the top five. 1st. Nicolo Bulega (Ducati), 2nd. Xavi Vierge (Yamaha), 3rd. Andrea Locatelli (Yamaha), 4th. Michael van der Mark (BMW), 5th. Stefano Manzi (Yamaha)

15:23 - Nicolo Bulega goes even faster, the factory Ducati rider has set a 1:38.502 and is now 0.919 seconds clear of the field.

15:19 - Iker Lecuona has set his fastest lap of the day with a 1:39.836, but he remains in 9th place on the timesheets.

15:17 - Nicolo Bulega set the fastest lap of the Test with his 18th lap of the day and set a 1:38.660. The Italian improved his previous lap time by 0.305 seconds.

15:13 - With his 39th lap on the Yamaha R1, Xavi Vierge has moved into second place on the timesheets and is now 0.456 seconds behind Bulega.

15:12 - Iker Lecuona is back out on track on the Ducati; he currently sits ninth overall and is 1.047 seconds behind his teammate.

15:01 - Both Xavi Fores and Mattia Rato have stopped in the last few moments. Fores in the final sector and Rato in the third sector.

14:52 - Yamaha is currently the only manufacturer out on track with Andrea Locatelli, Xavi Vierge and Stefano Manzi circulating.

14:46 - With his very next lap, Andrea Locatelli moves into third place and is 0.514 seconds behind Bulega with a 1:39.479.

14:44 - Andrea Locatelli has put in his fastest lap of the day, but remains in third place on the timesheets. However, he continues to go faster on his next lap...

14:41 - The second rider to reach 50 laps in today's test is World Superbike Rookie Mattia Rato.

14:35 - No full-time World Superbike riders are on track. Currently, Xavi Fores (bimota), Corentin Perolari (Honda), and Philipp Oettl (WorldSSP) are on track.

14:32 - The Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team riders, Bahattin Sofuoglu and Mattia Rato, have been circulating together and gaining crucial data on track.

14:25 - With lap 55, Stefano Manzi has made his way into the top five as he sits fourth with a 1:39.604, and he is only 0.002 seconds behind Locatelli in third.

14:21 - With his 19th lap of the day, Lecuona has made his way into the top ten as he finds himself in ninth with a 1:40.232 lap time.

14:19 - Stefano Manzi becomes the first rider to complete 50 laps today as he adapts to the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team R1.

14:13 - With his 23rd lap of the day, Ryan Vickers has moved into the top ten on the Honda CBR1000RR-R.

14:10 - Every manufacturer is currently on track: Bulega (Ducati), van der Mark (BMW), Gerloff (Kawasaki), Manzi (Yamaha), Fores (bimota), and Vickers (Honda).

14:09 - Xavi Vierge has set his fastest lap of the day as he moved to seventh with a 1:39.897.

14:07 - Bulega is back out testing the Ducati Panigale V4 R, as well as Gerloff on the Kawasaki, and Vickers on the Honda.

14:02 - Four riders are circulating on track: Xavi Fores (bimota), Xavi Vierge (Yamaha), Bahattin Sofuoglu (Yamaha), and Corentin Perolari (Honda).

14:01 - We will not see anymore of Remy Gardner today, the Australian rider is continuing to recover from his crash at the final round of the 2025 season.

13:55 - Corentin Perolari is the only rider circulating after van der Mark pitted; the French rider has completed 24 laps so far today.

13:51 - van der Mark is now the sole rider on track, after Lecuona pitted after moving himself into 11th place.

13:44 - Iker Lecuona is back out for his second run on the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati, he sits 13th at the moment. Where will he end this run?

13:40 - Mattia Rato has set his fastest lap of the day on Lap 37 as he moved up to 12th with a 1:41.524.

13:35 - Stefano Manzi is on a run of quick lap times as he has moved up to seventh place.

13:26 - Nicolo Bulega has completed six laps and is at the top of the timesheets, with his new teammate, Lecuona, now in 12th place.

13:12 - After two laps, Lecuona is back in the pits and has set a 1:50.916, which is 11.379 seconds off the best lap time of the day.

13:01 - HERE COME THE DUCATI RIDERS! Iker Lecuona has taken to the circuit for the first time as an Aruba.it Racing - Ducati rider!

11:55 - And the Jerez circuit falls silent as all riders make their way back into pitlane...

11:54 - Xavi Fores had ventured out on a second bike and, within three laps, was able to set his best lap of the day.

11:45 - We are nearly three hours into the test and we have yet to see either of the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati riders appear on track.

11:40 - Michael van der Mark still leads the way, with Andrea Locatelli and Garrett Gerloff behind him in second and third.

11:33 - Ryan Vickers is now back out on track for his second run on the Honda.

11:29 - The most laps so far this morning have been set by Stefano Manzi as he has completed 25 laps in the first two and a half hours.

11:20 - Yamaha is currently the main manufacturer on track with Locatelli, Manzi, Vierge, Gardner, and Rato all circulating.

11:15 - Michael van der Mark is currently the fastest rider on track, and has gone faster than he did on Friday in Free Practice Two.

11:05 - Remy Gardner is back on track, looking to set his first lap time, and Fores has joined him on the KB998 Rimini.

11:03 - After a flurry of fast lap times, the track falls quiet again. But British rider Ryan Vickers made his way up to sixth on the timesheets.

10:54 - Andrea Locatelli goes fastest with a 1:39.602, which would have put him in ninth place in Free Practice One on Friday.

10:52 - Ryan Vickers is now out on track on the Honda CBR1000RR-R and is joining Corentin Perolari in testing the Honda Superbike.

10:48 - Xavi Vierge is out on track for his first taste of the Yamaha R1. He has been joined by his Pata Yamaha teammate, Andrea Locatelli.

10:44 - Gerloff is now down into the 1:39s as he continues to lead the session ahead of Fores, and van der Mark, who is back out on the BMW.

10:41 - The first 1:40 lap time has been set by Gerloff, as he jumps to the top of the timesheets on the Kawasaki ZX-10R.

10:40 - For reference, current lap times would have put Fores in 24th place in Free Practice One on Friday.

10:39 - The track is getting faster, as Fores dips into the 1:41s, but they are still not competitive lap times compared to the race weekend.

10:37 - Xavi Fores went fastest with a 1:42.099, as Stefano Manzi headed back into the pits after a flurry of fastest laps.

10:36 - Now that the times have begun falling, Garrett Gerloff has appeared on track for the Kawasaki WorldSBK Team.

10:34 - Stefano Manzi improves his lap time again, and is now down into the 1:42's. It is still not a competitive lap time, but times are falling as the track dries out.

10:33 - Here comes the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team Test Rider, Xavi Fores, who will begin his second year of testing the KB998 Rimini.

10:32 - Stefano Manzi instantly bettered Rato's lap time as he took to the top of the timesheets and went 0.830 seconds quicker than his fellow Italian.

10:31 - Mattia Rato has jumped to the top of the timesheets with his ninth lap of the day.

10:29 - The 2025 World Supersport Champion, Stefano Manzi, is on his way back out onto the circuit for his second run of the day.

10:25 - Mattia Rato is back out on track on the Yamaha R1, as he begins to get adjusted to the World Superbike machine ahead of his rookie season.

10:10 - The rain may have eased up, but no riders are on the track as they wait for it to dry out.

09:52 - The track has fallen silent as the end of the first hour of testing approaches. Only four Superbikes have ventured out onto the track so far.

09:42 - Michael van der Mark is out on track for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, as he will take over testing duties for the absent Danilo Petrucci and Miguel Oliveira.

09:41 - The top rider on the timesheets is Honda EWC rider, Alan Techer, with Stefano Manzi in second and Mattia Rato in third.

09:32 - Fellow World Superbike Rookie and the 2025 World Supersport Champion, Stefano Manzi, is now on track on the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team machine.

09:30 - Mattia Rato has ventured out onto the circuit for his first taste of the Motoxracing WorldSBK Team Yamaha R1.

09:18 - Alan Techer is the first rider out on track. The Frenchman is on the Honda CBR1000RR-R and spent the 2025 season competing for F.C.C. TSR Honda France in the FIM World Endurance Championship.

09:05 - The first Winter Test ahead of the 2026 World Superbike season will not include Jake Dixon, Somkiat Chantra, and Miguel Oliveira, as the three riders are still in the Grand Prix paddock.

09:02 - However, it may take a while to see regular World Superbike riders venture onto the circuit, as it is currently raining at the Circuito do Jerez.

09:00 - Good Morning, and welcome to BSN's Live Coverage of the first World Superbike Winter Test. Today, we will see new riders take to the track and riders getting the first taste of their new machines!
