Miguel Oliveira has renewed his contract with BMW, keeping him with the Bavarian brand in 2027.

Oliveira’s second BMW season will also be his second in WorldSBK, after a rookie season that has seen him on the podium four times, but also hampered by injury after a crash with Andrea Locatelli in the Superpole Race at Balaton Park.

It could also be a second season that sees Oliveira partnered by a different rider; Danilo Petrucci is yet to confirm his future and there are rumours linking Brad Binder with the German manufacturer for next season.

For Oliveira, though, the extension of his time with BMW is about “trust”.

“Throughout my career, I’ve learned that success is built on the courage to embrace new challenges and the commitment to keep evolving,” said Miguel Oliveira on his signing with BMW.

“Extending my journey with BMW Motorrad Motorsport and ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team is a reflection of the trust we’ve built together and of our shared ambition for the future. 

“I understand the responsibility that comes with representing such an iconic brand, and I’m fully committed to giving everything on and off the track to help us achieve our goals. 

“We’ve laid the foundations this season, but I believe the best is still ahead of us. 

“I’m excited to continue this journey together and to keep building something we can all be proud of. I want to thank all the staff the BMW Motorrad and all the guys in the team for trusting in me. Let’s get to work!”

“Following his move from MotoGP, he settled into our WorldSBK project very quickly and has become an important part of our team, both on and off the track. 

“We enjoyed a very successful start to the 2026 season together, and already at his second race weekend on the BMW M 1000 RR in Portimao, he finished on the podium in all three races.
