Ryota Haga tragically dies in a racing accident

Ryota Haga, the son of Noriyuki Haga, has died in a racing accident in Japan.

Yamaha has confirmed that Ryota Haga has tragically died in an accident in a motorcycle race in Japan.

"Devastating news from the All Japan Road Race Championship today about Ryota Haga, son of Noriyuki," a post from Yamaha read. "We send our sincerest condolences to the Haga family in these most tragic circumstances."

Ryota was following in his father's footsteps as he was competing in the Japanese Supersport 600 Championship. Ryota was only 21 years old at the time of his passing.

Ryota was the youngest son of former World Superbike, MotoGP and British Superbike rider, Noriyuki Haga.

The thoughts of everyone at BikeSport News are with the Haga family at this tragic time.
