Mattia Casadei will start from pole position for the opening World Supersport Race at Jerez this weekend.

For the second time in his World Supersport career, Mattia Casadei claimed pole position in the Friday afternoon Supersport session at the Circuito de Jerez.

The top Yamaha on the grid was the Turkish rider, Can Oncu, who will start from second place for the Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team.

The front row of the grid was completed by the Orelac Racing Verdnatura rider, Jaume Masia, who will start from third place on the grid.

After re-signing with the Feel Racing WorldSSP Team for the 2026 season, Philipp Oettl will start from fourth place on the grid for the season finale at Jerez.

Jeremy Alcoba featured on a World Supersport podium last time out at Estoril, and will start from the second row of the grid in fifth place this weekend.

Xavi Cardelus will start directly behind his teammate on the grid for the opening race this weekend as the Andorran rider qualified in sixth place.

The third row of the grid was taken up entirely by Yamaha riders, Lucas Mahias qualified in seventh place on the GMT94 - Yamaha, Alberto Surra qualified in eighth place for the Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Team, and Niccolo Antonelli completed the third row for the VFT Racing squad.

Completing the top ten was the GMT94 - Yamaha of Roberto Garcia.
