Gresini Racing has reacted with excitement upon Marc Marquez making his much anticipated debut with the team during post-season MotoGP testing at Valencia.
After 11 seasons with Honda, Marquez begins a fresh chapter as a Ducati rider following his switch to Gresini to join brother Alex for the 2024 MotoGP season.
He made an immediate impression by proving instantly quick on the Desmosedici, running high on the timesheets through aboard the year-old GP22 Gresini campaigned in 2023, before switching to the title-winning GP23 he will ride in 2024.

Though Marquez himself is unable to discuss the test due to contractual obligations, Gresini team manager Michele Masini was encouraged by the six-time MotoGP World Champion’s fast start.
“This day was amazing for the team. The feeling is great on both sides of the garage. About Marc, I cannot speak, but the lap time you can see.
“We are a bit tired after this long season, but now we can’t wait to start the new season. Always feet on the ground, but with this atmosphere we can work really well next year.”
Marquez’s move to Ducati occurs a season before his long-term deal with Repsol Honda - signed in 2019 - was due to end.
The Spaniard was the series’ dominant force between 2015 and 2019 but has been hampered by various injury woes since then, achieving only three wins in the ensuing four campaigns.
