For the sixth time in the 2024 season, Ivan Ortola will start the Moto3 Grand Prix from pole position.
The Moto3 World Championship has been decided but with four races to go there is still plenty of silverware available.
After ending Friday in last place it was Ivan Ortola who claimed pole position at Phillip Island. The MT Helmets - MSi rider was 0.124 seconds quicker than second place as he claimed his sixth pole position of the season.
Collin Veijer will start the Australian Grand Prix from the middle of the front row. The Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP rider can finish second in the Championship before he moves to Moto2 in 2025.
The top Honda in Moto3 Qualifying was Spaniard, Adrian Fernandez. The Leopard Racing rider finished Friday in third so has pace in the wet and the dry conditions.
Off the front row is the BOE Motorsports rider, David Munoz. The Spanish rider has not won a race in 2024 and has a chance to fight for victory on Sunday.
British rider, Scott Ogden, has qualified in fifth place for the Australian Grand Prix. The #19 will start from the middle of the second row and if he gets a good start has a chance to fight for top positions on Sunday.
At the back of the second row is Stefano Nepa on the LEVELUP - MTA machine. The Italian rider will start from sixth on his KTM.
Home hero Joel Kelso will start from the head of the third row as he qualified in seventh for his home Grand Prix.
After topping the timesheets on Friday in the wet conditions Angel Piqueras could only manage to qualify in eighth place in the dry.
Honda Team Asia rider Taiyo Furusato will start from the back of the third row as he qualified in ninth place.
Completing the top ten and heading the fourth row is the Moto3 World Champion, David Alonso. The Colombian does not need to win on Sunday but will push to fight at the front.
