Moto3 America, Practice Results | Matteo Bertelle ended Friday on top of the timesheets, Scott Ogden finished in third

At the end of the opening day of the Grand Prix of the Americas, Matteo Bertelle was at the top of the timesheets.

Matteo Bertelle once again ends Friday on top of the Moto3 timesheets. The Italian rider has been competitive throughout the season and continues to show his form.

On his first outing in the Moto3 World Championship, Maximo Quiles ended the day in second place. The 17-year-old was 0.4 seconds behind Bertelle but was 3.9 seconds quicker than his teammate.

British rider Scott Ogden ended the first day in America in third place. The CIP Green Power rider has shown his speed in both dry and wet conditions this season.

The top Honda rider on Friday afternoon was once again David Almansa. The Spaniard put his Leopard Racing machine in fourth place on the timesheets.

After a difficult morning, David Munoz found his way into the top ten. The Spaniard was 0.8 seconds behind Bertelle but ended the day in fifth place.

Jose Antonio Rueda ended Friday in sixth place after starting the day in second place in Free Practice One.

Adrian Fernandez ended the day in seventh place for the Leopard Racing Team, but he was one second behind Bertelle.

Red Bull KTM Ajo rookie, Alvaro Carpe, ended the day in eighth place on his first visit to the Circuit of the Americas.

Riccardo Rossi made his way up the order in the latter stages of the session and crossed the line in ninth.

Rounding out the top ten was Angel Piqueras on the FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi KTM.
