Glenn Irwin topped the timesheets on both days of the Navarra British Superbike Test.
The Navarra British Superbike Test was dominated by Glenn Irwin and the Hager PBM Ducati squad.
Irwin and his Ducati Panigale V4 R were at the top of the timesheets at the end of both days of the first official British Superbike Test.
The 35-year-old is determined to claim his first British Superbike title and laid down a marker to the rest of the field at the first test.
"It’s been a really enjoyable test. The new layout is action-packed," Irwin said.
"The team has worked really good. For us, it was never about lap times.
"We are pleased to top the timesheet, which is always nice, but also with how naturally 45s come when the tyre is ready for the skip.
"Great job by the guys. The morale is high in the team.
"It’s funny because my initial feeling was not as good. It was better in ways, less good in ways…
"We had to adapt a bit to get the most out of it."
Across the last three seasons, Irwin has finished as the runner-up twice and third once in the British Superbike standings.
This season, Irwin is going all out after retiring from Road Racing to have more time with his family and to fully focus on the British Superbike title.
