Moto3 France, Free Practice Two Results | Joel Kelso set a new Moto3 Lap Record on Saturday morning

Joel Kelso was on it on Saturday morning as he set a new Moto3 Lap Record around Le Mans in Free Practice Two.

The pace was hot on Saturday morning in the Moto3 World Championship as Joel Kelso set a new lap record in the class. The Australian rider was the first Moto3 rider to set a sub-1:40 lap time around the French circuit.

Adrian Fernandez was the top Honda in the lightweight class, and he ended the morning in second place. The Spaniard has been fast throughout Practice and will be in the hunt on Sunday.

Alvaro Carpe was the top Red Bull KTM Ajo rider on Saturday morning, and he ended the session in third place. The Spaniard was 0.200 seconds slower than Kelso, but had a 0.228-second gap over fourth place.

The second Leopard Racing rider of David Almansa, ended Free Practice Two in fourth place. He was just ahead of the final Honda rider in the top ten, which was Luca Lunetta in fifth.

Dennis Foggia has been just outside of the top five throughout all three Practice sessions. The Italian started his Saturday in sixth place on the CFMoto Aspar Team machine.

Red Bull KTM featured in seventh and eighth with Jose Antonio Rueda in seventh for the Ajo squad, and Jacob Roulstone in eighth for the Tech3 squad.

Angel Piqueras ended Friday in fourth place on the FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi machine, but on Saturday morning, he could only manage ninth place.

Completing the top ten was David Munoz on the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP machine. The Spaniard was 0.920 seconds slower than Kelso's best lap time.

British riders Scott Ogden and Eddie O'Shea missed out on the top ten as they ended the morning in 15th and 26th.
